Experience the thrill of a deep sea dive when you walk through the underwater tunnel surrounded by 180,000 litres of tropical sea water while sharks, turtles and other sea creatures pass by just centimetres from your head.

New in 2010

A trio of spectacled caimans, one of South America's most common crocodiles, has taken up residence at the Sea Life Centre this year.

Though they are still youngsters at present, the three new arrivals could eventually grow to over 2 metres.

Dining on a wide variety of fish, spectacled caimans have thrived because their skin is not suitable for the tanning industry. They have spread out to fill the gaps left by other over-hunted species whose skins are more sought after. They get their name from a bony ridge between their eyes that makes it look like they are wearing spectacles.
